(White Rock, BC) Ride is pleased to announce three(3) new ultra-endurance adventure bicycle races to debut August 3rd, 2014 in British Columbia, Canada.

Great challenge and adventure is generally associated with great cost so Ride developed a new approach to ultra-endurance bicycle racing which is called “Naked Racing”. Our complete new website is available at

Naked Racing provides a practical alternative: a rider, a bicycle and an open road. Removed is the need for escort vehicles and crew. Naked Racing does not allow any vehicle support and any bicycle or human powered vehicle is eligible. To learn more about these rules please visit this page

Naked Racing is open to soloists and teams of 2 or 4 riders. In team divisions each rider must complete the entire route but the advantage for team rider is that they may draft off each other (soloists are not permitted to draft) and they gain the camaraderie and companionship of racing with their teammates. The teams participants have numerous strategies to consider to best capitalize on each individual’s cycling abilities.

In 2014 Ride proudly presents three Naked Races: The Naked Challenger (1,617 kilometers) the Naked Pioneer (2,820 kilometers) and the Naked Rider’s Race (5,145 kilometers).

All naked cycling  racers are required to carry what they need to complete their race. They may purchase services or supplies along the way as the opportunities present themselves. Racers should be equipped to handle simple repairs but may engage any means necessary to repair or replace their bicycle if needed.

noseadjusted125leftNaked Racers will be eligible to earn recognition in three levels of accomplishment. Official Finisher, Competitor and Elite with an additional category of Finisher for those riders who fails to meet the Official Finisher cut off time but still complete the course.

To keep it simple, racers will be provided with a toll free number to update their status daily. GPS tracking and routing may be available but to keep the cost of participation low and to lessen the burden of  electronic and charging equipment racers may opt to simply follow our route book and phone in their daily status.

Great challenge and adventure should not be limited by financial burden and while expense will always be a part of any activity the cost of participation in Naked Racing is greatly reduced not only by the elimination of escort vehicles and support crews but is also represnted in  low, “rider friendly” registration fees.

Time limited, special Introductory entry fees are now available for only  $129 Naked Challenger, $179 Naked BC Pioneer and $249 for the Naked Rider’s Race. All Solo and Team rates can be seen on our main registration page available here.

All races will begin on August 3rd, 2014 in White Rock, British Columbia, however special course licenses can be purchased and used between June 1st, 2014 and September 30th, 2014 (last possible start date). It is strongly recommended that due to weather conditions people intending to compete in the Naked Rider’s Race do not start their challenge any later than August 15th  as conditions in the northern part of the route can change dramatically. These special licenses will be sold at the same rate as our race fees and all participants will receive the same benefits whether participating in our scheduled events or if riding on their own schedule. Naked cycling is yours to enjoy.
